About Max
Warm baritone. Two languages. Zero cubicles. Max Croons is a singer-storyteller who left a Silicon Valley software career to sing crooner standards and Latin classics full-time — on streets, in piano bars, and in his own ticketed cabaret.
The short version
In February 2025, Max bought a $100 karaoke machine in Puerto Vallarta and sang on a plaza with a paper bowl for tips. Two days later a restaurant owner fed him dinner for a set of Sinatra. Within a year he had performed in more than 30 cities across the US, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Canada — Times Square at Christmas, the Malecón under a city permit, festival stages as an official vendor — and debuted Travelin’ Man, his 90-minute autobiographical cabaret, to a packed room in Puerto Vallarta. The road has since stretched past 40 cities in six countries, from the Bahamas to Belize. He sings in English and Spanish, carries his entire concert rig in one backpack, and tells the true story of the whole ride between songs.
Repertoire
Crooner standards
Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Elvis, Lou Rawls — Fly Me to the Moon, That’s Life, My Way, What a Wonderful World.
Latin classics
Ranchera and Bolero — El Rey, Bésame Mucho, and the songs that make a Mexican plaza sing along.
Crowd-pleasers
Sweet Caroline, Can’t Help Falling in Love, Country Roads — plus original comic parodies written for the show.
